In addition to having been the executive producer of This I Believe for the past decade, Dan is an experienced producer of radio documentaries and documentary series that have been distributed by National Public Radio, Public Radio International, and the Public Radio Exchange. Some examples of his award winning documentary work include Breaking The Cycle: How Do We Stop Child Abuse, Beth’s Village: A Portrait of Multiple Personality Disorder, and Norman Corwin: On a Note of Triumph. Dan co-produced the public radio series 13 by Corwin and the duPont Columbia award-winning 50 Years after 14 August, a reflection on the end of World War II, with legendary radio playwright Norman Corwin. Dan has also contributed feature stories to All Things Considered, Morning Edition, This American Life, Soundprint, Marketplace, and Jazz Profiles.

Most recently, Dan produced the Audible documentary series The Home Front: Life in America During World War II, which is narrated by Martin Sheen. In addition, Dan is producing a new documentary series The Reckoning: Facing the Legacy of Slavery in America which is currently being distributed as both a broadcast and podcast series.
